Olive oil tour
Appreciate the quality of extra virgin olive oil, much prized in the Lucca area, not only from the culinary point of view but also health and aesthetics. We will visit an Olive oil farm and mill, to learn how it is produced, the selection of olives and thier different scents. An official taster will teach you how to discern a good extra vergin olive oil from a bad one.
The olive oil harvest and production is due in October/ November when farms welcome visitors willing to help and learn about this ancient production, which dates back to Greeks and Romans.
The program may include accommodation and a short class on extra virgin olive oil knowledge and tasting, alternating moments of relaxation with excursions to the nearby towns in Tuscany , including:
Pietrasanta and the marble quarries of Carrara
